Welcome to My World
All good tales start with a mum and her melon
It’s not a secret that motherhood isn’t easy, but no one tells you that the hardest part about being a mum isn’t about your little human at all. Its managing you and all the aspects of your new title.
About Me
It’s not a secret that motherhood isn’t easy, but no one tells you that the hardest part about being a mum isn’t about your little humans at all. Its managing you and all the aspects of your new title.
For me, this new experience has meant balancing mum life and relationships, navigating hormones, learning to live with a new body, battling worries, operating on minimal sleep, as well as keeping my little humans safe all while discovering who I am. I love my new title, but this epic identity shift has its hard days.
Being a parent is the only job where you nail it one day and then you apply all the things that worked the following day, and nothing works so it almost nails you. For stay-at-home parents, our whole day is dictated by our little human’s emotions. If they aren’t happy, then we aren’t either so all day we try our best to make life fun, ensure they get adequate sleep and are fed well. It’s a constant cycle.
I am writing this blog to share my highs and lows in the hope that someone may read this and feel less alone. As mothers we’ve been taught to accept our worries and keep our insecurities and concerns to ourselves. It can be isolating if you don’t have the support there. Here lies a safe space to share my reality and the tools I learn along the way to nourish myself and my little humans.
Being a mum is my best title yet and its okay to say that some days it’s a struggle.
